Beach Volleyball Tournament Nets

In 2001, the World International Volleyball Federation, the FIVB, decided to adopt the rally point method of scoring for Beach Volleyball and reduce the size of the playing area for a trial period.

The dimensions used in international tournaments are now 8 x 16 m instead of 9 x 18 m. This means that volleyball nets and boundary markings of other sizes (8.50 x 1 m and 8 x 16 m respectively) are now required.
