Volleyball Tournament netsAccording to German Volleyball Federation (DVV) regulations, only nets with DVV I or DVV II approval can be used in competition. The tape along the top of these nets is 7 cm wide and the continuous tape along the bottom is 5 cm wide. They also have fibreglass rods sewn into the sides, 3 fasteners for tensioning at each end (6-point suspension) and an 11.70 m long Kevlar tension cord at the top, which is used to secure the upper edge of the net at the appropriate tension. In addition to structural design, the quality and tension of the net in the playing area and the top tape are crucial to achieving the highest quality standard. Our top model, "Smash" (item 5099-06), has a tension pulley at both ends. This allows the net and Kevlar cable to be tensioned simultaneously and produces an even tension across the net. Items 5033-06 and 5034-06 meet the standard required for DVV II approval. From 2004, the headband must also be 7 cm wide and there must be a continuous band along the bottom. Other features include an 11.70 m long tension cord at the top, polyester rods sewn into the sides and 4-point suspension. Above the level of the Landesliga (German State League), nets with DVV I or DVV II approval must conform to new design regulations in order to meet international standard. The old DVV I and DVV II- approved designs, which have a 5 cm wide headband and a band along the bottom for securing the antenna, can be supplied as DVV-approved products for the lower divisions. This includes items 5133-06, 5134-06 and 5166-06. The tape along the top of our tournament nets is made of extremely heavy-duty, pure, woven Polyester (UV-stabilised).
