Natural Stone 19mm Sparrow Netting

Our 19mm Stone Sparrow Netting is made to your sizing requirements, so you only pay for what you need and won't be left with excess material (or a shortage!).

This customisable feature makes it perfect for areas where a one-size-fits-all approach may not work due to varying sizes and shapes of the area, such as:

  • Homeowners and gardeners – cover small fruit cages, garden beds, or greenhouse fronts

  • Smallholders and allotment holders – protect vegetable patches, berry rows, and tender crops from sparrow damage

  • Domestic building owners – deter sparrows from nesting in eaves, vents, gutters, and soffits

  • Commercial premises managers – apply lightweight, high-strength netting to cover full facades or rooftop ledges on shops or offices

  • Estate managers and rural businesses – shield barns, equipment sheds, and storage areas from sparrow infestation

The netting is made from professional-grade polyethylene, which is UV-stabilised, rot-proof, and chemically inert, making it a highly reliable and resilient sparrow net solution in just about any environment.

We use a knotted net design for added resilience and durability, too. With correct installation, this bird mesh will last for many years, saving you the time and financial costs of constantly replacing other types of low-quality sparrow bird control.

With a mesh size of 19mm, it's designed specifically to prevent sparrows birds from entering or nesting in buildings and gardens, and also for use as aviary netting. This mesh size is recommended for sparrows as it doesn't trap or harm them, but simply deters them from entering or landing.

The stone sparrow netting colour is also preferable in areas where natural stone, brick, sand, or other light-coloured materials are used in construction, as it offers a more unobtrusive appearance.

Sparrow Netting Installation Guide

Installing anti-bird netting is straightforward with the right tools and materials. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide:

What You’ll Need:

Step 1: Set Up the Wire Perimeter

  • If you're installing the netting on a building, start by creating a wire perimeter around the area you want to protect.

  • Install main fixings (eyebolts) every 10 meters and at any point where the wire changes direction.

  • Add intermediate fixings (pins, rivets, or brackets) at smaller intervals, based on the bird species you're protecting against.

Step 2: Install the Straining Wire

  • Begin by attaching the wire to a main fixing. Loop the wire through the fixing and secure it with two ferrules or wire rope grips.

  • At the other end, loop the wire through a hook/eye barrel strainer, then attach the strainer to another main fixing.

  • Tighten the strainer to add tension to the wire. For areas longer than 10 meters, add cross-wires for extra support.

Step 3: Attach the Bird Netting

  • Use a cable tie to secure the netting to a corner fixing.

  • Attach the net to the wire perimeter using hog rings at every mesh, ensuring the net is tight and square.

  • Make sure there are no gaps or holes for birds to slip through.

That’s it! With these steps, your anti-bird netting will be securely installed and ready to protect your space.
