20m x 10m Sparrow Net - Stone
Natural Stone Sparrow Netting for Large Coverage
Our 20m x 10m Stone Sparrow Netting is an excellent solution for keeping sparrows away from and off your property.
With a mesh size of 19mm, it's designed specifically to prevent these birds from entering or nesting in buildings and gardens, and also for use as aviary bird netting. This mesh size is recommended for sparrows as it doesn't trap or harm them, but simply deters them from entering or landing.
The knotted net design has been used for added durability and resistance, ensuring it holds up in demanding environments.
Additionally, the bird net material is made from high-quality polyethylene that's chemically inert, rot-proof, and UV-stabilised, providing you with the confidence that it will withstand the elements and offer reliable protection for many years.
This net is supplied in a precut 20m x 10m size, so it’s excellent for larger anti-bird installations in industrial, commercial, and agricultural settings, such as:
- Covering large greenhouses or polytunnels to block sparrows from entering & damaging crops
- Netting over commercial rooftops or warehouse bays where sparrows attempt to nest in roof voids
- Securing big courtyards, atriums, or open dining areas
- Enclosing large chicken runs or free-range enclosures
- Fitting under long-span structures like pedestrian bridges or canopies where sparrows roost
- Preventing sparrows from nesting in building eaves, gutters & cladding
The stone sparrow netting colour is also preferable in areas where natural stone, brick, sand, or other light-coloured materials are used in construction, as it offers a more seamless and unobtrusive appearance.

3 Step Bird Netting Installation Guide
Setting up your bird net is simple: you will build a wire frame around the area, then clip the net to the wire.
1. Place Your Fixings
- Put Main Fixings every 10 meters and at every corner/turn.
- Put Intermediate Fixings in a straight line between the main ones.
2. Run and Tighten the Wire
- Start: Loop the wire through your first main fixing and secure it with 2 grips or ferrules.
- End: At the other end, loop the wire into a barrel strainer, hook the strainer to the main fixing, and twist to tighten the wire.
(For runs over 10 meters, add a criss-cross wire for extra support).
3. Clip on the Net
- Use a cable tie to anchor the corner of the net to a corner fixing.
- Pull the net tight and square, then clip every single mesh loop to the wire using hog rings.
Quick Tips
- Stainless Steel vs Galvanised: We highly recommend Stainless Steel (304 or 316 grade). Galvanised wire is cheaper but will rust much faster.
- Get the Right Fixings: Make sure your screws/plugs match your surface (wood, brick, metal, or cladding).
