20m x 10m Starling Net - Black
Strong 20m x 10m Bird Netting for Starlings
Our Black Starling Net is a versatile solution for safeguarding commercial buildings, roofs, or gardens, and for constructing aviaries or bird enclosures in sanctuaries, zoos, or farms.
This comes as a large sheet of 20m x 10m bird netting that can be installed as is, or cut to your required shape and size to fit a specific area.
Looking for a pre-cut, custom-sized net instead? We recommend our Made-To-Order Black Starling Netting.
We use a knotted design for this Starling Net, which provides added strength and resilience. This results in exceptionally hard-wearing netting that’s great for heavy-duty settings.
The netting itself is made from professional-grade polyethylene, enhanced with UV-stabilisation and rot-proofing treatment, as well as being chemically inert. This net is manufactured to endure all weather conditions, allowing for year-round application over multiple seasons without deteriorating.
The 28mm mesh size is perfectly suited to deter starlings and other small birds, offering effective protection without posing a danger to the birds' safety.

3 Step Bird Netting Installation Guide
Setting up your bird net is simple: you will build a wire frame around the area, then clip the net to the wire.
1. Place Your Fixings
- Put Main Fixings every 10 meters and at every corner/turn.
- Put Intermediate Fixings in a straight line between the main ones.
2. Run and Tighten the Wire
- Start: Loop the wire through your first main fixing and secure it with 2 grips or ferrules.
- End: At the other end, loop the wire into a barrel strainer, hook the strainer to the main fixing, and twist to tighten the wire.
(For runs over 10 meters, add a criss-cross wire for extra support).
3. Clip on the Net
- Use a cable tie to anchor the corner of the net to a corner fixing.
- Pull the net tight and square, then clip every single mesh loop to the wire using hog rings.
Quick Tips
- Stainless Steel vs Galvanised: We highly recommend Stainless Steel (304 or 316 grade). Galvanised wire is cheaper but will rust much faster.
- Get the Right Fixings: Make sure your screws/plugs match your surface (wood, brick, metal, or cladding).
