Strong & Long-Lasting Knotted Poultry Netting Design
Our poultry mesh is manufactured from high-quality polyethylene with a UV-stabilised, rot-proof, and weatherproof finish that extends the life of the chicken net when used outdoors for prolonged periods.
We use our knotted net design for added durability and resistance to damage from sharp beaks and claws.
Despite its heavy-duty nature, the Knotted Poultry Netting is still very easy to handle, so you can simply and quickly install it with minimal fuss. You can easily attach it to wooden frames, metal bird posts, or existing structures using cable ties, staples, or bird net clips.

3 Step Bird Netting Installation Guide
Setting up your bird net is simple: you will build a wire frame around the area, then clip the net to the wire.
1. Place Your Fixings
- Put Main Fixings every 10 meters and at every corner/turn.
- Put Intermediate Fixings in a straight line between the main ones.
2. Run and Tighten the Wire
- Start: Loop the wire through your first main fixing and secure it with 2 grips or ferrules.
- End: At the other end, loop the wire into a barrel strainer, hook the strainer to the main fixing, and twist to tighten the wire.
(For runs over 10 meters, add a criss-cross wire for extra support).
3. Clip on the Net
- Use a cable tie to anchor the corner of the net to a corner fixing.
- Pull the net tight and square, then clip every single mesh loop to the wire using hog rings.
Quick Tips
- Stainless Steel vs Galvanised: We highly recommend Stainless Steel (304 or 316 grade). Galvanised wire is cheaper but will rust much faster.
- Get the Right Fixings: Make sure your screws/plugs match your surface (wood, brick, metal, or cladding).

FAQs
Why is 28mm a Good Size for Poultry Mesh?
28mm is an effective mesh size for containing poultry because it is small enough to prevent birds from escaping, while also allowing natural light and ventilation to pass through, and keeping common predators out.
How Do I Measure How Much Chicken Run Netting I Need?
You should have an idea of how big your chicken run will be. From there, you can measure its length and width to determine how much netting you will need. It is always recommended to buy a little extra for fixing or under measurement.
