Plastic Game Bird Netting 18mm - 2m Wide
Custom Size Plastic Bird Netting for Game Enclosures
Our 18mm Plastic Game Bird Netting is the best solution to creating a secure and reliable game enclosure.
Manufactured to be tough and long-lasting, this plastic mesh won't weaken or degrade prematurely. The stronger-than-standard material is highly resistant to damage from birds, rodents, and the majority of other animals or predators.
We use 80gsm extruded polyethylene for our Plastic Game Bird Netting, whereas most other manufacturers use 60gsm, making ours a heavier and stronger option for your game enclosure needs.
The plastic bird netting is made to your length requirements, too, so you are supplied with the exact amount you need for your project, rather than having to cut and waste excess material. Just some of the places where our customers have successfully used this netting include:
-
Gamekeepers and shoot managers: Protect small release pens or specific flight lanes to guide game birds
-
Homeowners and smallholders: Enclose back garden pigeon lofts, quail, or duck pens
-
Aviary and breeder setups: Build or refurbish cages for partridges, pheasants, quail, and other game birds
-
Garden poultry keepers: Create walkway barriers or side panels for chicken runs and free‑range areas
We make the nets with a 2-metre width as standard, as this is a common size for standard fencing and allows for easy installation. However, should you require a different width, please do get in touch, and we'd be happy to discuss custom sizing options with you.

3 Step Bird Netting Installation Guide
Setting up your bird net is simple: you will build a wire frame around the area, then clip the net to the wire.
1. Place Your Fixings
- Put Main Fixings every 10 meters and at every corner/turn.
- Put Intermediate Fixings in a straight line between the main ones.
2. Run and Tighten the Wire
- Start: Loop the wire through your first main fixing and secure it with 2 grips or ferrules.
- End: At the other end, loop the wire into a barrel strainer, hook the strainer to the main fixing, and twist to tighten the wire.
(For runs over 10 meters, add a criss-cross wire for extra support).
3. Clip on the Net
- Use a cable tie to anchor the corner of the net to a corner fixing.
- Pull the net tight and square, then clip every single mesh loop to the wire using hog rings.
Quick Tips
- Stainless Steel vs Galvanised: We highly recommend Stainless Steel (304 or 316 grade). Galvanised wire is cheaper but will rust much faster.
- Get the Right Fixings: Make sure your screws/plugs match your surface (wood, brick, metal, or cladding).
