What Makes Our Stone Sparrow Netting So Effective?
Our 20m x 20m Sparrow Net is made from durable knotted polyethylene, providing excellent strength, and is manufactured to the same professional standard expected from the Huck name.
The knotted design increases the resilience and heavy-duty nature of the mesh, which makes it a popular choice for use in areas with high bird pressure.
We finish the net material with UV-stabilised treatment to prevent sun damage and degradation. Additionally, it’s rot-proof and chemically inert, so there’s not much this net can’t protect against!
The net’s natural stone colour also blends well with materials like stone, sand bricks, and lighter construction materials, making it ideal for listed buildings and commercial properties where appearance matters.

Garden Sparrow Netting Installation Guide
Download our bird netting installation information or read below for steps.
To install garden sparrow netting, you need some basic tools and straining wire. You can purchase >bird net fixings with your bird netting for easy installation.
Step 1: Set Up the Wire Perimeter
- Install Main Bird Net Fixings – Place eyebolts (main fixings) every 10m and at any point where the wire will change direction.
- Install intermediate Net Fixings – Use pins, rivets, or rackets between the main fixings, spacing them appropriately depending on the bird species you're protecting against.
Step 2: Secure the Straining Wire
- Start a new run of wire from each main fixing.
- Loop the wire through the eye of the main fixing and secure it with 2 ferrules or wire rope grips.
- At the other end, loop the wire through the eye of a hook/eye barrel strainer. Attach the hook end of the strainer to the eye of the main fixing.
- Tension the wire as needed to ensure it is tight. (For runs over 10m, tensioned cross-wires may be required.)
Step 3: Attach the Netting
- Secure the Corners – Use a cable tie to attach the corner of the net to a corner fixing.
- Fix the Netting to the Wire – Hog ring every mesh of the net to the wire, making sure the net is tight and square.
- Ensure there are no gaps or holes to prevent birds from entering.
